This presentation will review meningoencephalomyelitis (MEM) of dogs in detail regarding pathophysiology, neuroanatomy/neurolocalization, diagnosis, treatment, patient care, etc. The lecture will mainly focus on immune mediated/auto-immune causes of MEM but will also review common causes of infectious MEM seen in Neurology. Details that are most pertinent for the technician in order to improve their role in patient care, client communication, and case management will be discussed. There will be several brief case reviews within the presentation.
