Hilary Diefenbach, MA, CCC-SLP, CBIST is a licensed Speech Language Pathologist, an Instructor in the University of Colorado (CU) School of Medicine and a Certified Brain Injury Specialist Trainer. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Music from Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY, and a Master’s degree in Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Ms. Diefenbach is also trained in outpatient voice and swallowing therapies (NYU Rusk Rehabilitation). She completed her clinical fellowship and first 3 years of practice in inpatient rehabilitation with adults recovering from moderate to severe traumatic brain injury or stroke (Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation, NJ).
Hilary joined the Marcus Institute for Brain Health in 2018, where she leads the Speech Pathology Department as part of an interdisciplinary team specializing in intensive outpatient rehabilitation for U.S. Military Veterans with a history of mild-to-moderate traumatic brain injury, psychological health changes, and related health sequelae. Hilary is passionate about promoting health literacy, brain injury education, and multi-disciplinary treatment concepts for complex medical needs within her clinical and academic work at the University of Colorado.
