Nabila Enam is a professor at the Saint Joseph's University in Philadelphia. As a Bangladeshi American, immigrated at the age of 14 to the United States of America, she has always been interested in merging eastern and western medicine in her personal life and clinical practice. As a professor, she teaches her students about integrative medicine and ways to incorporate these approaches into occupational therapy practice to improve clients' health and quality of life. Her current research examines the effect of mindfulness meditation on stress and sleep quality in young adults. Her research interest in integrative medicine began early on in her career when she worked as an occupational therapist with the traumatic brain injury population. Nabila has her Master of Occupational therapy from the University of the Sciences (now Saint Josephs's University) and received her Doctor of Occupational therapy from Salus University. In addition to her degrees, Nabila has specialty certification in Health and Wellness from Salus University and has completed 200 hours of Yoga Teacher Training.
