Figure 1. MCP1 and IL-1RA expression in CD14+ monocytes following incubation with serum. Whole blood from healthy donors was incubated with patient serum or healthy serum. Expression of each cytokine was analyzed using flow cytometry. Frequencies of CD14+ monocytes positive for MCP1 (panel A) and IL-1RA (panel B) are displayed for SLE group, MDA5 group, ARS group, and HCs (n=10, respectively). Cut-off level was determined by 2% positivity of each cytokine in unstimulated condition. Horizontal bars represent the median. P-values were calculated using Kruskal-Wallis one-way analysis of variance followed by Dunn’s multiple comparisons test.
