Play is more than just fun! It's the brain's favorite way to learn. Prescription for Play is a social impact program managed by the LEGO® Group, in collaboration with Community Health Center, Inc. and the Weitzman Institute, with funding from the LEGO® Foundation. It provides resources for health care providers to promote learning through play with the caregivers of their 18- to 36-month-old patients during routine well-child visits. Research shows that children learn best through play and that play serves a critical role in a child’s cognitive and physical development. Prescription for Play supplies healthcare providers with free materials, including DUPLO® brick kits, a virtual hub of resources and training, implementation tool kits, CME credits, technical assistance, enduring educational content and program support.
