Recent evidence has suggest a high incidence of behavioral health related comorbidities among those with TBI. The focus of this session is to review the literature on incidence, risk factors and time to onset of behavioral health dysfunction after TBI. Subsequently a case review discission approach will be employed to define diagnostic and evidence based treatment approaches to PTSD, Depression and Anxiety after TBI.

Learning Objectives:

Those attending will be able to discuss the incidence, risk factors and time line of behavioral concerns after TBI.
Via a case review approach participants will be able to discuss the evaluation, and management of PTSD in those with TBI.
Via a case review approach participants will be able to discuss the evaluation, evidence based approach management of depression in those with TBI.
Via a case review approach participants will be able to discuss the evaluation, evidence based management of anxiety in those with TBI.
Those attending will be able to define the approach to the assessment of complex post trauma behavioral illness( bipolar, and psychosis as examples).
