Dr. Zainab Shirazi, MD, is a second-year resident in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at New York Presbyterian Columbia/Cornell and is currently pursuing a fellowship in Sports Medicine. She has a special interest in the use of regenerative medicine and ultrasound-guided interventions for enhancing performance and optimizing recovery.
Throughout her training, Dr. Shirazi has served as the national graduate student representative for the American College of Sports Medicine’s (ACSM) Exercise is Medicine on Campus (EIM-OC) committee. Her accomplishments include helping to launch Stanford University’s Lifestyle Medicine Initiative, emphasizing exercise and movement as a key pillar of health. She holds personal training certifications in CrossFit and Extreme Performance Training (XPT), specializing in programs that improve overall functionality by building mental resilience and physical versatility.
Dr. Shirazi often spends her free time running, strength training, rock climbing, and exploring New York City’s hidden gems.
