Alexandre Lavigne, MD, is currently a PGY-4 PM&R resident at the University of Montreal in Canada. He completed his medical degree at the University of Sherbrooke. Before medical school, he studied in biomechanical engineering at the University of Kansas, and he competed for the Kansas Jayhawks in cross-country and track & field in the NCAA Division 1.
He was the AAPM&R PhiT Ambassador for the University of Montreal from 2019 to 2021. He serves as the Director of Communications for the Quebec Association of Sports and Exercise Medicine. His main research interests are tendinopathies, musculoskeletal ultrasound, bone stress injuries and the integration of technology in medicine.
