Nathan Olafsen, MD is an Assistant Professor in the PM&R Division within the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Washington University School of Medicine. He is the Associate Residency Program Director, Co-Director of Medical Student Education within the Department of Orthopedics, and Director of the Musculoskeletal, Sports, and Pain Medicine Curriculum for the PM&R Residency Program. Dr. Olafsen specializes in the evaluation and nonoperative management of musculoskeletal injuries, with special interests in tendon, nerve, and joint disorders, sports-related injuries in rock climbers, runners and other endurance athletes, as well as adaptive, overhead, and younger athletes. Dr. Olafsen also has a strong interest and involvement in the medical education for fellows, residents, and medical students.
