Dr. Bittu Kuruvilla is an assistant professor of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, University Hospital Montefiore Medical Center. Dr. Kuruvilla received her Doctor of Medicine degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School, and underwent her residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Eastern Virginia Medical School, followed by fellowship training in Sports Medicine at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Kuruvilla is board certified in both Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (physiatry) and Sports Medicine.
Her clinical areas of focus include: diagnosis and management of non-surgical sports-related injuries, acute concussions and other non-sports related musculoskeletal injuries and pain, including overuse injuries, arthritis, joint pain, back pain and neck pain. She also performs diagnostic ultrasound evaluation for causes of musculoskeletal injuries or pain, and ultrasound guided injections and procedures.
