Dr. Sarah Eickmeyer, MD is an Associate Professor at the University of Kansas School of Medicine in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine. She is a graduate of Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. She completed her residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago/Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois, where she served as a chief resident during her training. Afterwards, she worked for the Medical College of Wisconsin and the Zablocki VA Medical Center. Dr. Eickmeyer is currently the Medical Director of Inpatient Rehabilitation at the University of Kansas Health System. She is an Assistant Director in the University of Kansas Medical Alumni Learning Community Program. She served six years as the residency program director of the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residency training program. She is board certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and by the American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine. She has national volunteer roles in the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and the Association of Academic Physiatrists. Her clinical interests include stroke rehabilitation, spasticity management and electrodiagnostic testing. She lives in Kansas City, Kansas with her husband and three daughters.
