Patrick Martone, D.O. is an assistant professor at the Zucker school of Medicine at Hofstra University. He works in the department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Northwell Health and specializes in Cancer Rehabilitation Medicine. He also serves as the program director of the Northwell Health Cancer Rehabilitation Medicine Fellowship.
He received his undergraduate degree at Colgate University and attended medical school at the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine. He underwent residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital/National Rehabilitation Hospital (MedStar GUH/NRH) and served as chief resident. He also completed his fellowship training in Cancer Rehabilitation Medicine at MedStar GUH/NRH.
He works to enhance a person’s quality of life and function, which is often impacted by cancer and its treatments. He commonly helps individuals with conditions such as neuropathy, fatigue, radiation-fibrosis, post-mastectomy pain,lymphedema, trismus and chemobrain.
He is also passionate about utilizing integrative/holistic approaches to improve an individual’s well-being. In addition to practicing Cancer Rehabilitation Medicine, he also performs osteopathic manual medicine/OMM/OMT and acupuncture.
