Adhesive capsulitis, commonly known as frozen shoulder, is often misdiagnosed because the pathophysiology and sequela of the disease process is poorly understood. During the COVID pandemic, there has been an increase in adhesive capsulitis cases with various hypotheses as to the correlation. This session will discuss the pearls and pitfalls associated with diagnosing and treating adhesive capsulitis during the current pandemic. To further understanding proper diagnosis, the pathophysiology will be discussed in depth including current literature if there is a correlation with SARS-CoV-2 .
