Cases will represent real-life presentations of weakness. With guidance from the preceptor, participants will sequentially select the components of the electrodiagnostic exam (NCS and muscles for EMG), clicking on appropriate studies with the data appearing in real time. Participants will actively discuss the choices, interpret the data aloud in real time and design the study, with faculty preceptor guidance to steer the discussion. In summarizing each case, the faculty preceptor will emphasize key electrodiagnostic features and how to design the study to adequately evaluate these. He or she will address interpretation of borderline or atypical findings, and discuss which features to highlight in the electrodiagnostic report.
