Very few resident physicians in PM&R receive any training in the SNF level of care. Yet, the SNF is where most inpatient rehab happens in the US today. More and more physiatrists find practicing in the SNF to be highly rewarding. If you have ever wondered how physiatrists are able to successfully navigate the SNF level of post-acute care, and what your role there can be, this course is for you. Faculty physiatrists with extensive everyday experience working with rehab patients in the SNF will demystify it, provide guidance for avoiding pitfalls, and help assure success.
