How do you balance building a new career and raising a family? What about blending research and a clinical practice? What if your job doesn't work out? Our session brings together four stellar physicians who represent a diverse set of clinical practices including inpatient and outpatient practices, private practice and academic setting, and research-oriented practice. All faculty members are greater than five years into practice and have experienced some level of change in terms of job responsibilities. We hope to share personal experiences and interact with the audience with polling questions and time to have a panel discussion based on questions from the audience.

As a result of attending this session, participant will be able to recognize how to pursue diverse interests while choosing what you can do depending on other demands in life.
As a result of attending this session, participant will be able to understand the rewards and challenges of incorporating research and/or academic roles into your clinical practice.
As a result of attending this session, participant will be able to understand that integrating a support system are critical to navigating the first few years into your practice.
