Interventions to prevent and treat cancer-associated sarcopenia and it's associated sequelae include a combination of nutrition and exercise. This talk will not only describe recommended exercise treatments but also review novel pharmacologic agents being trialed to slow the progress of muscle loss. Given the prevalence of deconditioning in patients undergoing cancer treatment, such as after a bone marrow transplant or due to steroid myopathy, these recommendations can likely be generalized to the larger oncologic population.
