Clinical Manifestations & Philosphy of Care (30 minutes) - Dr. Cindy Ivanhoe

-How to make a clinical diagnosis
-Understanding radiographic features of hydrocephalus
-The value of a CSF tap test

Philosophy of Care (10 minutes) - Dr. Cindy Ivanhoe
-Understanding the role of hydrocephalus on overall treatment goals for the patient
-Describe the role of insurance companies, biases, and barriers to diagnosis and treatment
The intent of this lecture being provided by Dr. Cindy Ivanhoe is to educate and engage the audience on the clinical manifestations of hydrocephalus after brain injury, including how to recognize subtle findings. Additionally, the diagnostic value of neuroimaging and the value of CSF tap test and lumbar drainage trials will be discussed. This lecture will be supplemented with real-life clinical scenarios to put the education content into context.
