248 - Effect of Case-Based Education on Medical Residents’ Oral Health Knowledge

Purpose: To assess the effectiveness of case-based oral health education in improving oral health knowledge, clinical assessment skills, and confidence in implementing oral health screenings of pediatric medicine residents.

Methods: Thirty-five pediatric medicine residents at BronxCare Health System were given a pre-test survey to assess baseline oral health knowledge and their confidence in implementing oral health practices. Case-based oral health information was presented to these residents. Post-test surveys were completed about 1 week after education to assess changes in resident knowledge.
