Alagille syndrome is a highly variable genetic disorder characterized primarily by a paucity or complete absence of bile ducts within the liver, most commonly hepatic manifestations include chronic cholestasis, jaundice and cirrhosis. It is also associated with congenital heart defects, which can include Tetralogy of Fallot, Coarctation of the aorta and septal defects. A common manifestation of hepatic complications is green discoloration of teeth. This case report details diagnosis, clinical manifestations and dental rehabilitation of a patient with Alagille syndrome. Highlighted is the challenges of preparation and restoration of teeth demonstrating a green dyschromia. Included in this report is a review of the common systemic manifestations of Alagille syndrome.
