Title: Management of Severe Dental Trauma in Mixed Dentition; A Case Report
While traumatic dental injuries are common amongst children and young adolescents, intrusion injuries are one of the most severe and rare injuries contributing to only 0.3-2.0% of all dental injuries. Diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up are crucial to achieve the best outcome from both a dental and esthetic perspective. This case report presents the timeline of events following a severe traumatic injury in a 8 year-old patient consisting of multiple intrusions, subluxations, and concussions in addition to numerous crown fractures complicated with young age and under-developed permanent teeth. The discussion will include the treatment rendered and the findings/prognosis of each tooth throughout numerous follow-up visits utilizing the guidelines by the International Association for Dental Traumatology.
