Michelle Tsao, DMD
UCSF Pediatric Dentistry Resident
Michelle was born in Portland, Oregon and raised in Hong Kong. She moved to Chicago to attend Northwestern University, where she received her B.S. in Communication Sciences and Disorders and minor in Business Institutions. She then moved to Boston and graduated with her DMD from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 2014. While there, she was a recipient of the Deans Research Scholarship Award and presented her research annually at the national dental research conference (AADR/IADR).
Upon graduating from dental school, Michelle moved to Los Angeles and completed her General Practice Residency program at LAC-USC Medical Center where she discovered her passion for hospital dentistry and working with patients with special needs. After graduation, she then moved to Portland, Maine to become a full-time professor at the University of New England College of Dental Medicine where she taught pre-doctoral dental students. Michelle is thrilled to continue her training to become a pediatric dentist at UCSF.
