Dr. Edna Pérez received her dental degree from the University of Puerto Rico in 2001. Following dental school, she continued her dental education at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center, where she completed a General Practice Residency. In addition, Dr. Pérez finished fellowships in the field of special needs patients at Stony Brook University School of Dental Medicine and the Rose. F. Kennedy Center at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Through these formative years, she was driven by her interest in pediatric dentistry, which led her to complete the specialty of Pediatric Dentistry at the Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center in 2006. Dr. Pérez received the 2005- 2006 Richard C. Pugh Achievement Award for her outstanding performance at the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry Qualifying Examination. Subsequently, she became a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry in 2007.
After the completion of her specialty program, Dr. Pérez worked part-time in private practice in New York and as an Attending in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry at the Bronx-Lebabon Hospital Center. Since October 2010, Dr. Pérez has been working full time as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Florida, Department of Pediatric Dentistry.
