My name is Strater Crowfoot, I come from Siksika Nation in Alberta, Canada. I attended undergrad at BYU Provo and dental school at Creighton University school of Dentistry. My current pediatric dental residency is at Saint Louis University Center for Advanced Dental Education and Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital. I have 3 sons and a very supportive wife. My aspirations to become a pediatric dentist originate from my Uncle and Aunt who are both dentist. They are serving First Nation communities throughout Alberta where access to care is limited. When discussing the needs of the communties with my uncle, he made it very clear that the greatest need for First Nations people was pediatrics. I made it my business to fill the gaps that exist in these communities. I am greateful for the opportuinty and purpose pediatric dentistry gives me.
