Elizabeth Powell, DDS, MPH is a PGY-2 Pediatric Dental Resident at Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine. She is a recipient of a full tuition scholarship funded through the Health Services and Resource Administration Grant, Transformative, Team based Dental Care for Vulnerable Children: Integrated Training and Practice. Since 2015, Dr. Powell has also served as Dental Director at Codman Square Health Center in Dorchester, MA where she oversees the delivery of quality oral health care services, and is also responsible for promoting the integration of oral health with pediatric and adolescent medicine. Dr. Powell has several years of experience working in community-based oral health programs treating vulnerable populations in both rural and urban settings. She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from New York University College of Dentistry and completed a General Practice Residency at Bronx Lebanon Hospital Center in New York. She also holds a Masters in Public Health from The George Washington University. In 2020, Dr. Powell received her Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in Dental Public Health from Boston University School of Dental Medicine. She is also a Diplomat of the American Board of Dental Public Health. Dr. Powell’s commitment to public health and pediatric dentistry led her to the Boston area where she hopes to continue to be an integral part of the movement to increase access to dental care and improve oral health outcomes in children. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and spending time with friends and family.
