Second Year Pediatric Dentistry Resident
Howard University, Washington, D.C.
Howard University College of Dentistry, Dept of Pediatric Dentistry, Washington, DC
I am Dr. Kelechi O. Okereke. I am a second-year Pediatric Dental resident at Howard University-College of Dentistry Washington, DC. Prior to attending my resident program, I obtained my Doctor of Dental Surgery, at the University of North Carolina, Adams School of Dentistry in 2020. I hold a Master of Arts degree in Biology from Fisk University in Nashville, Tennessee. At the end of my residency program, I will be working at Kintegra Pediatric Dentistry, Gastonia. Kintegra is a Federal Qualified Health Center (FQHC) who’s major mission is to provide dental care to children who are disenfranchised. My belief as a pediatric dentist is not to simply deal with a child’s behavior, rather I want to enhance communication, partner with the child & parent to promote a positive attitude and good oral health. I am a whole believer that provision of quality dental treatment while instilling confidence to my patient will allow them to handle their dental experience positively in the future. I also love working with special needs patients to help eliminate the disparity that prevents them from having access to oral care. Thank you.
