Dr. Christina Nuñez, DDS, MPH, is a 2015 graduate of New York University where she studied Biological Sciences, Public Health and Policy, and Nutrition. From there, she went on to pursue a dual degree DDS/MPH as a HRSA Predoctoral Primary Care Fellow for Underserved Children at Columbia University's College of Dental Medicine and School of Public Health where she graduated in 2020. She is currently completing her pediatric dental residency program at the University of Illinois-Chicago where she is synchronously working toward a Master of Science in Oral Sciences and a certificate in Public Health Geographic Information Systems. As both a public health and pediatric dentist, she hopes to foster environments where entire populations can feel more comfortable smiling and therein connecting. In the future, she hopes to share her perspective with future dental students and community health leaders as a dental academic.
