Dr. Schenker is an orthopaedic trauma surgeon in Atlanta, Georgia. She attended medical school at the University of Chicago-Pritzker School of Medicine, residency in orthopaedic surgery at the University of Pennsylvania, and fellowship in orthopaedic trauma at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, Washington. She is currently the Chief of Orthopaedics and Director of Surgical Informatics for Grady Memorial Hospital, and am an Associate Professor and Director of Orthopaedic Trauma for Emory University School of Medicine. Dr.Schenker is currently enrolled in an MBA program at Northwestern/Kellogg SchooI of Management. In addition, in 2001, She was a world champion in taekwondo. Her current research interests are in the impact of social determinants of health on quality, outcomes, and pain management after trauma. In addition, she loves to understand, read, and talk about performance psychology and development of expertise in surgery – and how it relates to my experience in high-level athletics.
