Dr. Katsuhiro Horiuchi is a Clinical Professor at School of Dentistry Osaka National University in Japan and in private practice in Nara, Japan. He is a diplomate of Japanese Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Japanese Society of Oral Implantology, and Japanese Academy of Maxillofacial Implants. After graduating from School of Dentistry Osaka National University in 1981, he belonged to the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Nara Medical University in Japan between 1981 and 1999 to treat oral cancer, oro-maxillofacial defect, cleft lip & palate, jaw deformity, and edentulism using implantology. He then served as an Associate Professor of the medical university between 1992 and 1999. He has lectured internationally on bone regeneration and dental implant-related surgery. He has published extensively in scientific texts and professional peer-review journals. His primary focus has been in hard and soft tissue reconstruction for improving esthetic outcomes with dental implant therapy. He is an active member of the Academy of Osseointegration and a member of the International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.
