Intercultural learning without face-to-face interaction was the challenge we met when we created a person-first blended asynchronous and synchronous online program. Online content can often be reduced to sharing technical or academic knowledge from an "objective" lens. In contrast, we put the people creating the program up front, centering real-life stories among theoretical frameworks. We put the learner in the center by using informal language, inviting emotions and whole-body learning, and encouraging continuous reflection. The feedback we received is overwhelmingly positive and we now offer our program to undergraduate students, graduate students, staff, and faculty.
