Jessica Schoenthal is Director of Patient Safety at GenesisCare. She has over 20 years of experience in healthcare, including critical care nursing, leadership, and Quality and Safety. She is passionate about improving patient safety, quality outcomes, and process improvement through team collaboration. In her current role, Jessica is responsible for the oversight of the Patient Safety Evaluation System, patient safety program, investigation and analysis of clinical events, and ensuring effective improvement implementation to guarantee high quality, safe patient care.
In her previous roles, Jessica worked at The Joint Commission as a Patient Safety Specialist, Vizient Patient Safety Organization as a collaborative advisor, and at Northwestern Medicine as a Patient Safety Manager, where she has further developed her expertise in root cause analysis, Patient Safety Act, process improvement, high reliability, and patient safety science. Jessica received her master’s in nursing from Benedictine University with emphasis in executive leadership. She is a Certified Profession in Patient Safety (CPPS).
Jessica lives with her family in Northern Illinois. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, volunteering in her community, and exploring the outdoors.
