UPMC Hillman Cancer Center
Pittsburgh, PA, United States
Currently the Director of Quality, Safety and Patient Experience at the Hillman Cancer Center, Jim Sinicki, MBA, R.T.(R)(T) has been with the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) for 23 years. After obtaining certifications in radiology at Sewickley Valley Hospital and radiation therapy at the Cleveland Clinic, he started his radiation therapist career at one of UPMC's community locations just outside of Pittsburgh. It was there Jim spent his first 14 years, 6 of those as a Chief Therapist. Over the past 9 years as a member of the UPMC Hillman Cancer Center administrative team, his passion for quality helped lead 25 sites through the ACRO accreditation process. During this period, Jim also spent several years with operational oversight of 10 joint venture programs with community partners as well as oversight of the PET-CT program. In addition to spending time at 30+ locations domestically, he also visits UPMC Hillman Cancer Center's international locations in Ireland and Italy to aid the teams in enhancing the care they provide overseas. Beyond Jim's experiences within the UPMC Health System, he has presented at national conferences for SROA and ACR. He is also very involved in ACRO accreditation as a surveyor and administrative committee member. This past year Jim was provided the opportunity to chair a committee of national radiation oncology leaders to develop the first ever leadership conference at the annual American College of Radiation Oncology Summit, Sharing Excellence Among Leaders (ACRO-SEAL). Jim is excited to begin this new venture with all of you and looks forward to sharing and learning to enhance all of our organizations and the quality of care that we provide for countless patients every day.
