Dr. Lia Halasz is an associate professor in the Departments of Radiation Oncology and Neurological Surgery at the University of Washington, and co-medical director of the UW Alvord Brain Tumor Center. She specializes in the care of patients with brain and spinal cord tumors. She has previously served as an associate editor for the cental nervous system section of the International Journal of Radiation Oncology, Biology, Physics and is the current vice chair for the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) guidelines subcommittee for IDH mutant diffuse glioma. Dr. Halasz has a strong interest in education and mentoring, serving as the program director for the UW Radiation Oncology residency and fellowships. Her research centers on advanced radiation technologies and the health disparities surrounding their use.
