AngelEye Health wants to welcome Dr. Craig Garfield and Dr. Young Seok Lee to Team AngelEye! As the co-founders of NICU2Home, we are thrilled to have their continued expertise as AngelEye Health advisors. They have spent a decade creating, researching, and refining NICU2Home. Craig Garfield is a Professor of Pediatrics and a neonatal hospitalist with over 25 years of experience caring for the smallest and most vulnerable babies. He is the co-founder and co-principal Investigator of the NICU2Home smartphone app. Dr. Garfield’s motto is "Children thrive when families thrive," and his career has focused on discovering ways to help families thrive. After graduating with a B.A. in English Literature from the University of Michigan, Dr. Garfield received his medical degree at Rush Medical College in Chicago and completed his pediatric training at Massachusetts General Hospital. He completed the Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholars Program at the University of Chicago. Concurrently, he obtained a Masters in the Art of Public Policy from the Harris School of Public Policy as a Harris Child and Family Scholar. He is a proud member of the 2021 Aspen Institute's Ascend Fellowship. As a physician-scientist, he uses quantitative and qualitative methods in his work and is intrigued as much by the numbers and data as he is by hearing the voices of those often unheard. His research has been funded by NIH, AHRQ, CDC, PCORI, RWJF, and other philanthropic organizations. Dr. Garfield is also a frequent plenary speaker on the topic of fathers, family, technology, and health. Young S. Lee is a researcher and entrepreneur dedicated to enhancing patient empowerment through mobile technologies. Having earned a PhD in Human Factors Engineering from Virginia Tech, Dr. Lee has spearheaded the development of technology-based interventions aimed at improving the health outcomes of children and families, both within academia and industry. With over 15 years of experience in the industry, he has successfully initiated and overseen cross-disciplinary innovation research projects and teams at various enterprises, including Motorola, CA Technologies, and Blue Cross Blue Shield. In addition to his industry experience, Dr. Lee serves as an adjunct professor at Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine. In this role, he secured funding and developed the NICU2HOME mobile application, designed to assist parents of infants in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Subsequently, he co-founded NICU2HOME LLC. Dr. Lee continues his research efforts at Northwestern University, focusing on the development and feasibility testing of other mHealth applications in the realms of patient education, engagement, and behavioral health interventions.

AngelEye Health, the leading technology provider for neonatal and pediatric family engagement solutions, today announced the acquisition of NICU2Home, a company dedicated to empowering families and optimizing care coordination using technology during the journey in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). This acquisition positions AngelEye to streamline the patient experience from admission to discharge and beyond for families and clinicians. AngelEye will leverage the newly combined expertise to further enhance its solutions by integrating NICU2Home with its existing family engagement platform to add a discharge coordination solution. The integration will provide a single consolidated experience for care teams, healthcare providers, and families. The combined solution will be available in the fall of this year.
