John is a wind industry engineer that specializes in performance and optimization of wind turbines, specifically looking for opportunities to apply technology to improve power generation, prolong life, or mitigate cost.
John's experience in the wind industry spans more than 10 years, getting his start in wind quite literally from the bottom rung of the tower ladder as a wind technician. John has significant experience in operations and maintenance of wind plants, as well as a background in the inspection and analysis of wind turbine gearboxes through the use of bore scope, oil analysis, and vibration monitoring.
John's current role as Product Manager for bat deterrent systems allows him to bridge the worlds of engineering, customer engagement, wind and wildlife.
