Wallace Erickson (Wally) is a senior statistician/scientist based in WEST’s Cheyenne, Wyoming office. Wally’s work has involved applying proper experimental design and appropriate statistical analysis methods for natural resource studies. He has worked with numerous government, industry, and environmental organizations to help solve wildlife and other natural resource conflicts and issues. Wally has been a project manager and/or lead statistician for over 300 studies/projects, including baseline wildlife and risk assessment studies, environmental permitting, and/or operational monitoring/research at renewable energy projects. He has worked on hundreds of renewable energy projects in 35 U.S. states and six Canadian provinces, collaborating with both private industry and government entities to provide permitting, baseline, post-construction, and research studies. Wally has worked closely with several energy companies, providing technical assistance in the development of their internal environmental policies and expert guidance and input on local, state, and federal energy permitting and regulations.
