Ever told yourself a story that was not true? We all have. Discovering why this takes place, and how it affects our relationships at work, and even home, can help us understand how so many conflicts and interpersonal relationships become muddled and irreconcilable. Neurologically we are built to know the "entire story". When pieces are missing from our knowledge of situations, the brain will fill in the blanks for us and viola! We have a story that fits, even if parts of the story are not accurate. This is even true in our call-taking, especially when we have prior knowledge about a person, place, or dynamic. Attendees will learn to recognize the story in their head and apply skills that illicit correct responses and reactions.
