The liver is a large organ that performs countless functions to maintain homeostasis. Coagulation, oncotic pressure, protein synthesis and waste clearance are just a few of these important functions. Using the baseline database (CBC, serum biochemical profile and urinalysis), these functions can be identified and secondary testing selected. Basic cytology will also be explored.
