This session will cover 4 liver conditions in dogs often encountered in clinical practice; gallbladder mucoceles, vacuolar hepatopathies and two congenital liver disorders. A case example will be used to highlight each disorder. and the latest information on the diagnosis and management of these conditions.
Upon completion, participant will be able to have an understanding of billary mucoceles including diagnosis and treatments
Upon completion, participant will idiopathic vacuolar hepatopathis causing elevations in alkaline phosphatase in asymptomatic dogs
Upon completion, participant will be able to diagnose and manage congenital portal vein hypoplasia (MVD) in young dogs.
Upon completion, participant will be become aware of the syndrome of congenital ductal plate abnormalities and how they are best managed.
