This 4 hour workshop will build on the interactive lectures which are a prerequisite to the lab. The Global FAST® scanning session (Veterinary Point of Care Ultrasound: Ultrasound for Everyday Practice (FAST®) will cover image acquisition of AFAST®, TFAST® including its echocardiography views and Vet BLUE® as an imaging screening test applied as an extension of your physical exam. The approach uniquely screens both body cavities and has everyday applications for most patients to help decide on a diagnostic plan as well as serving as a monitoring tool. The use of Global FAST® provides a set of 15 data imaging points that help prevent imaging interpretation errors such as satisfaction of search error and confirmation bias error. The Global FAST® should take between 5-8 minutes to perform by intermediate and more experienced sonographers following this course.
