After earning his BS from Cornell and DVM degree from the University of Illinois, Dr. Weinstein worked as an associate for three years, then opened his own practice. While in practice, he attended the University of Redlands where he received an MBA to further his business acumen. Through PAW Consulting, Dr. Weinstein provides small business and corporate consultation. Currently, he is the Executive Director of the Southern California Veterinary Medical Association. He has a wealth of veterinary background, serving in executive functions in a number of industry organizations and businesses. He puts that knowledge to work for others, writing, and speaking on practice management topics to improve the veterinary profession. Peter collaborated with Michael Gerber on "The E Myth Veterinarian- Why Most Veterinary Practices Don't Work and What to Do About It". He was the 2018 Practice Management Speaker of the year for WVC and served for three years as the Chair of the Veterinary Economics Strategy Committee for the AVMA.
