Point-of-Care (POC) tests have been tremendously valuable during the pandemic due to their ability to provide fast and accurate results. The agility demonstrated by Industry, regulators, and payers has been instrumental in providing access to these critical tests. Yet, as we begin to consider life after the pandemic, a question remains: How do we ensure the potential of these valuable tests continues to be actualized beyond COVID and for all disease conditions? We will discuss the development and access challenges of POC tests beyond the pandemic and explore potential solutions to overcome the existing hurdles.
