Vice President, Global Planning, Sourcing and Logistics
Jim is a broad business leader who has spent over 25 years managing different aspects of supply chain to include responsibilities within operations, quality, and new product introductions. His strengths are in leading organizations through significant and often transformational change to enable sustainable growth and continuous improvement.
After starting his career as a Logistics officer in the U.S. Army for four years, Jim transitioned to the corporate world and began a 24+ year career in medical device working with two different organizations across three different locations. Starting at Johnson & Johnson (J&J) and working across different roles in Cincinnati, OH, Juarez, Mexico, and Irvine, CA, Jim gained experience in all areas of supply chain in increasing roles of responsibility. Those roles included Director of Global Planning and Customer Service, Plant Manager, and VP of Operations.
After 19 years at J&J, Jim transitioned to Edwards Lifesciences, where he spent his first year as Plant General Manager for the Irvine Valve Center. After just over a year in the role, Jim was moved into his current role of Vice President, Global Planning, Sourcing, and Logistics, where he leads an international cross-functional team supporting Edwards’ aggressive growth plans. Jim has now been at Edwards for over five years.
