Dr. Nicole Diaz-Segarra received her medical degree (MD) from Cooper Medical School of Rowan University, completed her Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation training at Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation, and is currently finishing her Brain Injury Medicine fellowship training at Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation. Over the past few years, she has collaborated with the Kessler Foundation on multiple projects, including assessing spatial neglect, implementing Prism Adaptation Treatment (PAT), and PAT's impact on rehabilitation outcomes in a practice-based rehabilitation research network. Additional areas of research interest include the impact of sunken skin flap syndrome and cranioplasty on rehabilitation outcomes, as well as the utility of functional magnetic resonance imaging to assess for sub-clinical consciousness after sustaining a severe traumatic brain injury.
