Carter Newey, DO is a PGY2 PM&R resident at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, OH. He earned his undergraduate degree in Exercise Science from Brigham Young University in Provo, UT. He received his medical degree from the University of North Texas Health Science Center - Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Worth, TX. Following medical school, he completed his Preliminary Internal Medicine internship at Medical City Weatherford in Weatherford, TX.
Dr. Newey is currently serving as an American Osteopathic College of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (AOCPMR) Fellowship Database Committee Co-chair on the Resident Council. He is interested in pursuing fellowship training in Interventional Spine and Musculoskeletal Medicine (ISMM) following residency. Aside from physiatry, his personal interests include Spanish, the outdoors, and spending time with his wife and three young boys.
