Jessica was born in Houston, Texas and grew up in Huntsville, Texas. Prior to graduating from McGovern Medical School at UTHealth, she studied neurobiology at the University of Texas at Austin.
She completed her intern year at Baylor College of Medicine and is currently a third year physical medicine and rehabilitation resident at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Jessica serves as the Association of Academic Physiatrist's Appointee for the AAMC Organization of Resident Representatives and was recently elected educational chief resident of her residency program.
Jessica's interests include pediatric rehabilitation, diversity and inclusion, public and global health, and medical education.
