James B. Meiling, D.O., is a current PGY-2 PM&R resident at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. He completed 1 year of undergraduate work at Brigham Young University (BYU) in Provo, UT, before putting his education on hold to serve a full-time 2-year proselyting mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Upon returning, he obtained a B.S. in Exercise Science from BYU, graduating cum laude. He earned a D.O. from the University of North Texas Health Science Center / Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine (TCOM) in Fort Worth, TX, and was notably, in 2017, awarded the prestigious TCOM Student Doctor of the Year Award, additionally placing in the top 10 nationally that year. He completed his Internal Medicine – Preliminary Year program at Medical City Weatherford located in Weatherford, TX, where he served as the Intern Class Representative.
