COVID-19 completely changed how libraries approached programming to the public. With physical distancing requirements in place, it’s impossible to do the storytimes and hands-on learning activities that we usually do with preschoolers and toddlers. At the beginning of the Ontario lockdown period, Karissa & Hannah put together successful and popular pre-recorded, multi-segment online storytimes for their respective library systems on zero budget using technology they had available at home. With the experience of trial and error, they’ll walk you through the many factors you need to consider before starting a series of your own. From content and set design to editing and marketing, and keeping accessibility and library-friendly budgets at the forefront, Karissa & Hannah will explain it all.
