Preprints are an un-refereed version of a manuscript that is shared before formal publication, and can be a valuable source of recent research. This session provides an overview of the research value of preprints, key preprint servers, and tips for developing a search plan. How preprints were searched for inclusion in systematic reviews on a COVID-19 topic will be emphasized. The benefits and drawbacks of preprint archives will also be addressed.
