The One About Community Connections

To better serve diverse and under-represented communities, libraries need to engage in programming with community partners to acknowledge, support, and celebrate inclusion. Milton Public Library will detail its experiences in working with community partners to offer neighbourhood programs and multi-lingual storytimes, as well as its work with youth to bring accessible programming and sensory kits to the library. Participants will learn strategies for starting conversations with partners and get tips for program planning, all while taking a community-led approach.
